In 50 different locations in Nevada, freeways and smaller roads cross the state line. That’s 50 “Welcome to Nevada” signs required. The Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs partnered on a clever contest idea to address the need for consistent, yet creative, messaging on road signage to welcome visitors.
The state was divided into four regions for the high school art student competition, finalists chosen from 94 entries, and the four “Welcome to Nevada” winning signs selected by a transportation review committee are now being installed for the start of summer holidays.
