Angela Val has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer at Tempest, which also has offices in Minneapolis and Tucson. She is executive director of the “Ready. Set. Philly!” Covid recovery initiative and joins from Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau where she was Chief Administrative Officer since 2016 following more than 16 years at Visit Philadelphia.
In the San Francisco Bay Area, Robin Fahr has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing at Visit Tri-Valley, the East Bay DMO based in Pleasanton, California that she joined in 2016.
In Lowell, Massachusetts, Rick Lofria has been appointed Executive Director at Greater Merrimack Convention & Visitors Bureau. He joins the DMO from Marriott International.
Natasha Boschetti has joined Discover The Palm Beaches as Social Media Manager. She is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a B.A. in journalism.
Jessica Icenhour Roberts, Executive Director of Mount Airy Tourism Development Authority, is the new president of the Blue Ridge Parkway Association, the promotional organization for the 469-mile scenic roadway between Afton, Virginia and Cherokee, North Carolina.
Mandi Cox has been promoted to Senior Director, Distribution & Partnerships at Sparkloft Media. She’s been with Sparkloft for eight years, prior to which she was Director of Marketing at Experience Columbia, SC.
