E-commerce is being reshaped by voice assistants, and consumers are not only shopping for physical items. A November 2017 Capgemini study of 5,000 consumers in the US, UK, France and Germany found that a significant number of respondents purchased some type of service, like a meal, via the platform.
The research found that 24 percent of respondents would rather use a voice assistant than a website, rising to 40 percent in the next three years.
