Mark Holbrook is planning to retire in January as head of the Marion Area Convention & Visitors Bureau in Ohio, a role he took on in 2016. He was previously marketing director for the Ohio History Connection.
Bev Ford, a Marion native, has been appointed as Holbrook’s successor. She is a former board member who has been a long-time executive director of the Marion Palace Theatre.
Oklahoma City Convention & Visitors Bureau welcomes Adam Wisniewski as Vice President of Sports Development. He has spent the last four years with the Arlington Sports Commission in Texas as Sports Account Director.
Misty Weisensteiner has been appointed as the first Chief Operating Officer of Discover Southern Indiana, which represents eight counties. She had served as Director of Core Strategy Implementation for the Indiana Destination Development Corporation, and previously as Executive Director of the Indiana Office of Tourism Development, Orange County Economic Development Partnership and Visit French Lick West Baden.
Wendy Popkin has been named Vice President of Destination Sales at Washington County Visitors Association in Oregon. She is moving from her current role as Executive Director of the Oregon Hospitality Foundation which she joined in 2012.
Chris Ellis was named Regional Partnership Manager-Central East, for Visit Florida. Previously, Ellis was director of 7M Tours and is the former Senior Director-Global Trade Development at Brand USA. He also served as Senior Manager of Travel Industry Sales for Visit Orlando.
Maria Grasso has been appointed Senior Vice President – Convention Division at the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau. She joined the bureau in 1999.
Shoshana Puccia is the new Executive Director/CEO of the Duarte Chamber of Commerce in Los Angeles County, California. Her previous roles included Senior Marketing Manager for Macerich at Santa Monica Place and at Glendale Galleria.
Kimberly Dunnegan, Sales Executive has joined the team at Visit Huntington Beach. She moves from a previous position as National Account Director at Visit Newport Beach.
Jamie Claudio has joined Madden Media as Vice President, Destination Strategy. She joins from Discover Long Island (NY) where she served as Vice President, Marketing & Sales.
Kayla Clough has joined Development Counsellors International (DCI) as Tourism Account Manager in NYC. She moves from her five-year role as Assistant Managing Producer at the New York Post, prior to which she was a Broadcast Associate at CBS News.
Vince Tatarian returns to Miles Partnership as Account Supervisor. In an earlier role, he had also been Strategic Content Manager at Odyssey, a Miles Partnership company.
