Nearly 20 years after assuming the role of President & CEO at Visit Baton Rouge, Paul Arrigo has announced his plans to retire in 2022. The board of directors will meet in mid-December to discuss plans for filling this position at the DMO, which marks its 50th anniversary next year.
Jessica Johnson has been appointed Director of Marketing at Visit Seattle. She most recently served as the Director of Marketing + Business Development at Wild Gravity, a creative production company, and also helped launch Votiv, a Seattle-based label, artist management, and music publishing company.
In Colorado, Visit Aurora has promoted two longstanding employees.
Vice President of Sales and Services, Justin Clark joined the DMO as the director of sales in 2013.
Randi Morritt, who joined the DMO in 2015, was promoted to the role of Vice President of Marketing and Administration from director of marketing.
Lynnelle Morgan takes on a new role at Louisville Tourism as Marketing Manager, moving across from Leisure Sales Manager. She joined the DMO in 2012.
Fernanda Melgoza is the new Senior Marketing Manager for Partnerships and Programs at NYC & Company. She joins from MMGY Global, prior to which she had been with Visit Santa Barbara.
Visit Rochester (NY) welcomes Regan Wagner as Digital Communications Specialist. She joins the DMO with local experience as a magazine editor.
Stephanie Rodriguez is departing the DMO following four years as Public Relations Manager at Visit Tampa Bay. She joins Expedia Group where her new role is managing global hotel communications strategy.
John Packer has joined Arrivalist, the location intelligence platform, as Account Director. He joins from Omnitrak Group, a Honolulu-based market research firm.
Richard Cutting-Miller, former EVP for the World Travel & Tourism Council and Resonance Consultancy has joined London-based travel technology startup Road.Travel as Executive Vice President to lead their business development efforts in the USA, Canada, Mexico and Caribbean.
Road.Travel will present as a “Bright, Shiny, New Object” on the startup panel at the 2022 eTourism Summit on June 6-8 in Orlando.
Joshua Lambert has become an Account Executive at MMGY Global. He joins from a social media marketing role at the Greater Boston Convention & Visitors Bureau and had previously been with Lee County Visitors & Convention Bureau in Fort Myers.
Sarah Donovan, Assistant Director of Public Relations, departs Visit Fort Worth following several years with the DMO, which she joined in 2013.
Jess Klein has joined Bandwango as Client Success Specialist. She was previously with the Bloomington Parks & Recreation Department in Indiana.
In Ohio, Belmont County Tourism Council has named Jackee Pugh, a local marketing pro, as the new Executive Director. She replaces Barb Ballint, who retires at year end.
In Minnesota, Explore Alexandria Tourism has a new Executive Director, Joe Korkowski. He had been broadcast news director and radio talk show host at the Voice of Alexandria.
In North Carolina, the Durham Sports Commission has hired Kaila’Shea Menendez in the newly created role of Deputy Director. She was most recently senior director of leadership programming and events at Women Leaders in College Sports in Kansas City.
