Scott McCrea, director of tourism and convention sales for Explore Fairbanks, which he joined in 2014, has been named president and CEO of the organization. He takes over in the role vacated by Deb Hickok in December 2020 following her 21 years of service.
The Detroit Regional Convention Facility Authority’s board announced ASM Global has named Karen Totaro as the new general manager of Detroit’s TCF Center. Totaro had most recently been COO at San Diego Convention Center and has also been in key management roles at convention centers in Atlantic City, Cincinnati, and Portland, Oregon.
Cody Chomiak, CDME, has announced is leaving his post of 10+ years as Director of Marketing at Tourism Winnipeg | Economic Development Winnipeg | YES! Winnipeg. He has shared the job opening (see below) but no word yet on his own plans.
