Expedia—which spends $1.3 billion annually on tech innovation—said last week that voice is the one to watch.
Demonstrating Alexa’s capabilities last week at the Expedia Partner Conference in Las Vegas, Expedia CEO Mark Okerstrom (seen here) and Chairman Barry Diller both picked voice when asked about the most disruptive technology in the next five years.
Trials are underway; a customer can use voice to search, book, pay for a hotel booking, check-in and access the room key from the home screen of the app. Read more reported by TTG Asia here.
