It’s a mobile world…Now Visitor Centers are to support social media engagement?
Over the next two years, Visit Scotland is closing 39 visitor centers, two-thirds of its total. Foot traffic has dropped 58 percent over the past decade. Meantime, Discover Los Angeles is developing a strategy to open several more visitor center locations.
Interestingly, pop-up locations are in the mix; they’re being used as a way to curate Instagram and gain new followers.
