Have you been to a dozen states or more? If so, you’re more widely traveled across this nation than the average American. Liveability.com, in association with Ipsos, surveyed 2,000 U.S. residents last summer to find out where Americans have been and where they want to go.
The most visited states are:
- Florida
- California
- Georgia
- New York
- Nevada
The least visited states are:
Montana, Nebraska, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Vermont, Idaho, Alaska, and least of all – North Dakota. Where do people most want to go? Hawaii, Alaska, California, Colorado and New York…plus Puerto Rico.
(If only we could stimulate more domestic travel, we’d have a bit of a buffer against inevitable international peaks and troughs, as well as better understanding of our fellow Americans.)
