Did you know? A new opportunity presents itself in the form of a total solar eclipse viewable in much of the USA, a rare event that some DMOs can promote — and others are already selling out — for next summer (8/17/2017).
The eclipse has its own website at www.eclipse2017.0rg, touting the fact that it’s the first total eclipse to sweep the nation since 1918 and first on the mainland since 1979. Visitors and residents will be able to witness the event in Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
