Tourism-wise, it was a different world in 2012 when President Obama announced our 10-year plan to reach 100 million visitors to the USA. In fact, it was a different world last week before sterling lost 11 percent against the US dollar in the 24 hours following the UK referendum on EU membership.
Meantime, the strong dollar has affected Canadian visitor numbers by 10 percent and overall, inbound USA figures were flat from 2014 to 2015.
