CVB Turns to Fiction in Tourism Marketing with ‘The Joplin Undercurrent’

“Something they can put their hands on or wrap their minds around,” says Patrick Tuttle, referring to visitors engaging in “The Joplin Undercurrent” where he runs the CVB in this Missouri city. What is it? A talented photographer and a mystery writer are collaborating on an incredibly innovative approach to drawing visitors into a local mystery story as it unfolds. Using actual local people and places in and around town, a compelling and dark narrative is designed as an interactive experience. The Joplin Globe newspaper sheds light on the project.
