About 700,000 (or 4 percent) fewer international tourists arrived in the U.S. during the first three months of the year, including:
- Steep drops from Africa and Middle East
- 10 percent drop from Europe
- 7 percent drop from Mexico
- $2.7 billion in reduced spending
